Job Overview:

The Programs Manager is a senior position responsible for leading and overseeing various projects initiated by the Centre for Green Growth. With over 5 years of project management experience, the incumbent will play a crucial role in project planning, execution, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.

Responsibilities:

  1. Project Planning:

     – Lead the development of comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.

   – Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.

  1. Execution and Oversight:

   – Oversee the implementation of projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.

   – Coordinate project teams and allocate resources effectively.

  1. Monitoring and Evaluation:

   – Develop and implement robust monitoring and evaluation frameworks for projects.

   – Track project progress, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.

  1. Stakeholder Engagement:

   – Build and maintain relationships with project stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

   – Coordinate with internal and external partners to achieve project objectives.

  1. Budget Management:

   – Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure financial accountability.

   – Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting.

  1. Quality Assurance:

   – Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and comply with relevant regulations.

   – Implement best practices in project management methodologies.

  1. Reporting:

   – Prepare and submit regular project status reports to management and stakeholders.

   – Ensure timely and accurate reporting on project outcomes and impact.

  1. Capacity Building:

   – Provide guidance and support to project teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

   – Conduct training sessions on project management principles and practices.

  1. Risk Management:

   – Identify potential risks and develop risk mitigation strategies.

   – Implement measures to address unforeseen challenges during project execution.

  1. Additional Task

– Any other additional task assigned by the direct superiors and management.

Qualifications:

– Bachelor or Master’s degree in Environmental Project Management, Environmental Sciences, Environmental Management, Forest Resources , Climate Adaptation or a related field.

– Minimum of 5 years of experience in environmental project management roles.

– Certification in Project Management (PMP or equivalent) is an advantage.

Additional Requirements:

– Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

– Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

– Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office applications.

– Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation principles and practices.
