Job Overview:
The Research Officer is responsible for managing research initiatives within the Centre for Green Growth. This role requires a candidate with over 3 years of research experience, holding an MPhil or equivalent qualification. The Research Officer will play a pivotal role in shaping the research agenda, conducting high-quality research, and contributing to the organization’s knowledge base.
Responsibilities:
- Research Strategy:
– Develop and implement the organization’s research strategy in alignment with its mission and goals.
– Identify key research areas and opportunities for innovation.
- Project Leadership:
– Lead and manage research projects from conceptualization to completion.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate research into broader organizational initiatives.
- Methodology Design:
– Design and implement robust research methodologies suitable for the objectives of each project.
– Ensure ethical standards and compliance with research protocols.
- Data Analysis and Interpretation:
– Conduct data analysis using advanced statistical methods.
– Interpret research findings and communicate insights effectively.
- Publication and Dissemination:
– Prepare and submit research papers for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
– Present research findings at conferences and contribute to academic and professional forums.
- Team Management:
– Supervise and mentor a team of researchers, providing guidance on research design, data analysis, and interpretation.
– Foster a collaborative and innovative research environment.
- Collaboration:
– Collaborate with external research partners, academic institutions, and industry experts.
– Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders in the research community.
- Grant Writing:
– Identify funding opportunities and lead the development of grant proposals.
– Secure external funding for research projects.
Qualifications:
– MPhil or equivalent qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Environmental Sciences, Environmental Policy).
– Minimum of 3 years of experience in leading research projects.
– Proven track record of research publications.
Additional Requirements:
– Strong knowledge of research methodologies and data analysis techniques.
– Excellent project management and leadership skills.
– Proficiency in statistical software and data visualization tools.
– Excellent communication and presentation skills.
