Extreme weather events are increasing. We must properly adapt and build resilience quickly.
Presently the world is inadequately adapted and Maladapted (actions or strategies intended to address the impacts of climate change but ultimately problems). Due in part to the following:

Limited access to existing finance
Not involving those most vulnerable and excluding locally-led adaptation
Limited climate finance for climate adaptation, resilence and Loss and damages
Limited view rather that an a comprehensive perspective to solutions
