Who We Are
A registered non-governmental organisation in Ghana, working across green jobs, climate resilience, and independent MRV.

Building the institutional infrastructure Africa’s climate economy needs
The Centre for Green Growth is a registered non-governmental organisation in Ghana. We work across green jobs, climate resilience, and MRV services — operating from Accra with a mandate that spans the continent.
We design and deliver capacity building programmes, provide technical assistance to green enterprises, and conduct field-level verification for carbon projects and adaptation programmes. Our team brings together climate finance specialists, MRV auditors, and agricultural economists.
“To build the skills, systems, and institutions Africa’s green economy needs — delivering training that leads to work, verification that stands up to scrutiny, and evidence that informs decisions.”
What we hold ourselves to
Six commitments that shape how we design programmes, conduct verification, and choose the work we take on.
African led
African institutions, African practitioners, and African communities must lead the continent's climate response. We build capability here rather than importing it.
Independent
Our verification work carries weight because we hold no stake in the outcome. We say what the evidence supports, including when it is inconvenient.
Gender responsive
Gender responsive adaptation is more effective adaptation. Inclusion is designed into programmes from recruitment onward, not added at review.
Community first
Interventions are designed with local populations, not for them. The people living the risk shape the response to it.
Accountable to outcomes
We hold ourselves to programme outcomes rather than activity counts. Training that leads nowhere is not a result.
Evidence driven
We publish what we learn so it can inform decisions beyond our own programmes. Credible data is the point, not the by-product.
